We’re delighted to welcome James Scuderi who was formally inducted as a member on 30 July 2025 with the classification of Business & Trade - International.
James was born in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, and then attended Brighton Grammar School. Upon completion of VCE, and after having participated in the Lions Club Youth Exchange to the United States, he attended Monash University Caufield Campus, studying Business Accounting for 2 years before deferring to focus on private enterprise and family business activities. This was followed by several finance and brokerage qualifications, in line with his keen interest in financial markets and economics. James is a qualified and authorised Financial Planner, a Finance Broker, Accredited ASX Derivatives Advisor, Level 1 & 2 – and has undertaken, and continued to undertake several further higher education studies in the life-sciences field, including a recently awarded Harvard certificate in Stem Cell Sciences.
He is Founder and/or Company Director of several local and international businesses, across fields spanning project supply, manufacturing, human life-sciences, agricultural sciences and funds management. James maintains a keen interest in geopolitics, international trade, economics and ancient history and steers commercial operations in offices in Australia, China and Dubai. He is a Member of the Australian African Chamber of Commerce, the Australia China Business Council, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Melbourne Business Society.
James lives on the Bellarine Peninsula with his wife, Jenna, and three young children, Maiella (9) and twins, Lilla and Giuseppe (7), and enjoys tennis, walking and gym work.
