DESCRIPTION:Jason Balkin is the Associate Director of Business Development and Bids at the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB). His extensive history of working in the events services industry includes recognised skills in negotiating\, budgeting\, business relationship management\, event planning and business development.
Jason graduated from the University of Ballarat with a Bachelor of Management\, Marketing and has a Graduate Diploma of Marketing from RMIT.
Jason has been at MCB for four years\, progressing through the ranks in the Business Development and Bidding teams and is recognised as one of the organisations future leaders. As a subsidiary of&nbsp\;Visit Victoria\, MCB leads the acquisition and delivery of national and global business events for Melbourne.
A passionate Melburnian\, he enjoys promoting our destination and working with Melbourne&rsquo\;s finest researchers and thought leaders. In his time with MCB he has helped to secure over 40 international conferences that will see around 60\,000 delegates visit the city and contribute over $350 million to the Victorian economy.
