The evidence is clear\; there is a direct relationship between staff wellbeing and patient wellbeing. It is well understood that disruptive or intimidating behaviours by staff undermine team effectiveness and compromise quality and safety. Bronwyn Shipway will comment on how kindness in healthcare impacts staff\, patients and their families.
Kindness Works Here is an initiative of the HUSH Foundation
The Hush Gathering of Kindness aims to build\, nurture and instil a culture of kindness throughout the health care system transforming health and aged care cultures that prioritise kindness\, respect and wellbeing for staff\, patients\, families and carers. For over two decades HUSH have hosted events\, dialogues and commissioned and pioneered the use of creative tools including music\, theatre for education\, and literature designed to ignite kindness and reframe care in kindness week.
At this evening\, hosted by Rotary Melbourne\, we will acknowledge and express deep appreciation to the healthcare community for their selfless service\; We are joining with the Hush Foundation's Gathering of Kindness Initiative to celebrate World Kindness on 13 November 2024.
