'LIFT the LIDDERS"

Last week's Mental Awareness "Lift the Lid",  provided the perfect way for Members to "express themselves" and show respect and support for Australian Rotary Health’s National annual fundraiser for mental health research.  Thank you to those who were be-hatted!

UEDA SHOGEN EXHIBITION

Our Hon Member Japanese Consul-General Kazuyoshi Matsunaga opened the Ueda Shogen Exhibition on Wednesday – It is open till 19 October in the 101 Collins Street foyer and President Robert suggests "well worth a visit". Painting by Japanese artist influenced by his time in Tanzania.

 

 

DAVID KRAM & MTO in FRANCE 2018

Artistic Director, Founder of MTO and Chair of our Arts Committee  - congratulations to David Kram who conducted two concerts in Amiens and Villers Bretonneux with standing ovations!

 


 

MEMBER UPDATES

Peter McCall - called Jo from ICU to say he is fine!  Currently he is still in ICU at Dandenong Valley Private Hospital.   He was operated on Monday to remove blood clots on the brain.  These were from a fall a few weeks ago.  His admission to Hospital was as a result of a fall last Friday where he again hit his head on the concrete.  All went well.

Peter will be in the ICU for a few days and then in a ward for 4/5 days before going to rehab . No calls or visits to Peter until he is back in the ward.  Kaye will keep us updated.

 

Warren Johnson - was in hospital following surgery.  Is home by now, and feeling much better.
