There were many fascinating stories from our Speaker last week, Captain James Nixon who was an A380 Pilot.  Relaxed and a great story teller, James was fascinating with all his stories of aviation and travels.

 

 

TONY KOSKY HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

PP Tony Kosky is seen here being congratulated on becoming an Honorary Life Member of Rotary Melbourne. His wife Vicky provided some verbal support while President Kevin and PP Robert look on.

 

 

DONATION TO SALVATION ARMY

Neil Venables, Salvation Army, President Kevin, PP Robert, Major Bruce Harmer Public Relations Secretary for Victoria Salvation Army.  We were very happy to donate the proceeds of the recent wonderful evening at "Come from Away" to the Salvos at last week's meeting.

R100 SOCKS ARE CREATING NEWS!

The R100 Socks are creating an internet "jam" as photos taken by our travelling members land in Editor's InBox.  I feel a competition is about to occur!  Final details will be in next two weeks.  Thanks Clive Weeks for his gorgeous ankle and socks in San Francisco.  Please keep the photos coming to Editor.

 

 

THOMAS BAKER ORATION 2019

Don’t miss this year’s Thomas Baker Oration.  The 2019 Thomas Baker Oration is to be given by David Thodey AO, Chairman CSIRO in the Fitzroy Ballroom, 1st Floor, Sofitel Hotel, 25 Collins St Melbourne on Wednesday, 4 September.  Guest bookings to be made via Jo Mavros by 30 August.

GO PIES - BUT THEY DIDN'T!

Our ‘Go Pies’ coterie hosted a group of teenagers through the Les Twentymen Foundation to Friday night football at the ‘G’. recently.
