Last week, it was fascinating to hear from Jason Balkin, Melbourne Convention Bureau.  How did Melbourne succeed in its Bid for the RI Melbourne Convention in 2023?  Jason is seen here with Chair Hugh Bucknall and President Kevin.

PRESIDENT'S NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The date of the Rotary Club of Melbourne Inc Annual General Meeting has now been fixed as 13 November 2019. Formal notices will issue in due course.  This meeting triggers a series of events starting with the forming of the President's Nominating Committee.

 

 

CSIRO'S NATIONAL OUTLOOK REPORT

Were you aware that Renata Bernarde was one of the 50 participants who helped write the CSIRO's Australian National Outlook Report which is part of David Thodey's presentation on Wednesday? 

 

 

 

 

WALK and a TRAIN RIDE in OCTOBER

October is the End Polio Now month.  What are we doing?  Our District is planning two events in October to raise awareness and funds for the End Polio Now campaign.

Because Chris has been on his feet all day in his warehouse packing kits for "Make a House a Home" Project; but his feet are cushioned and comfy in his R100 socks!

Rotary Yea has extended an invitation to Members to visit the outstanding Yea Garden Expo on September 21 & 22 at the Yea Saleyards. Only 1 hour from Melbourne.

Cynthia Edgell is home in Ashbourne recuperating from her surgery and is doing well.  She will embark on Chemo soon.

Keith Callinan is in Epworth Richmond recovering from a fall.  He will be transferred for rehab and assessment later this week.  Taking calls.
