Congratulations to Iqbal Reta and VP Cynthia Edgell for providing the Vocational Services Team with three absolutely fantastic candidates for Rotary Melbourne's Young Achiever Awards 2020.  Awards presented Wednesday, 27 May via Zoom meeting.

NEV POWER, NATIONAL COVID-19 CO.ORD. COMMISSION

Our former Member, Nev Power addressed last week’s meeting on the topic of “Damage Control – Economy Reboot”.  Peter Dakin chaired the online meeting and President Kevin has provided the summary.  130 Members and guests joined the meeting.

RM ARCHITECTURE WALK – Friday 29 May, 7.30pm  Here are the details following the advertised "Save the Date". This year the guided architectural walk will be through the streets of inner city Collingwood. Editor had great difficulty finding a Collingwood picture without ghastly black and white football stripes!

URGENT VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY!  RM Members needed to work with the International Student Resume Review Program.  PP Robert Fisher has invited us to work with City of Melbourne in this resume reviewing program.

 

 

 

AFRI-AUS CARE PROGRAM URGENCY

As you already know, we have via Rotary in Action supporting our Community, a developing relationship with Afri-Aus Care in Dandenong through the Welfare of the Young Committee.  You can identify in the photo our Rotary identities with members of Afri-Aus Care and leader, Selba Gondoza Luka.

Thank you Tilman for providing some very interesting reading and your reflections on COVID-19 lessons and opportunities for our Members.  Tilman has agreed to Chair the June 3rd Meeting with Dr Alan Finkel, Chief Scientist. Keep safe and well.

 

 

DONOR TO AFRI-AUS CARE

He prefers to keep "under the radar", but did you know that Quin has been instrumental in donating tons of food to foodbank and other organisations in need including to our African Australians who are needing urgent assistance during this time of panademic.  Thank you PP Quin Scalzo and Scalzo Foods.
