CLUB NEWS & REMINDERS
SPECIAL 2020 SMITH FAMILY RAFFLE FUNDRAISER
As Members are now aware, COVID-19 has prevented our annual Around the Bay fundraising event. However, we will not be conquered by COVID-19, and the ATB Team has created a special fundraiser with three events, to raise the $25,000 that Rotary Melbourne needs to donate to the disadvantaged children in the Smith Family's "Learning for Life Program". We shall not let these vulnerable children down, especially this difficult year!
WALTER & ELIZA HALL INSTITUTE says THANKS
Rotary Melbourne has been a regular supporter of The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute through our International Committee. Typically this has involved the purchase of specific equipment related to the Institutes Malaria research.
MESSAGE FROM OUR VICTORIAN GOVERNOR
Her Excellency The Honorable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria and Honorary Member of Rotary Melbourne has sent a message for us to share with all Victorians.
YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARDS' ALUMNI
Editor and our Vocational Services Team are very happy to announce that they have created the Young Achiever Awards' Alumni. So far, more than 45 past recipients of our annual YAA have been contacted and 21 awardees have positively responded.
HOLIDAY SNAPS PLEASE
You will see each week in our closing video, some "snapshots" of Members on Vacation. Do you remember that time in our lives where we holidayed? If you want your snap in the video collage, send your memory travel special photo to Jo and we will put this to music to end our meetings. Check out the story around the photo below.
