We are excited to say that we are working to in-person meetings for our lunch meetings with some virtual capability and will advise for each meeting if in-person is available. For now, the default is ZOOM.

Chris Stilwell chaired an outstanding meeting last week, in providing a clear description of both our Rotary Melbourne Foundation and the Rotary International Foundation.  Both of these are imperative in funding our projects both locally and internationally. HOW ABOUT YOU JOINING OUR ROTARY PEACE WALK

We need you at Aussie Peace Walks

We are looking for members for "Team Rotary Melbourne" to participate in the Aussie Peace Walks in Canberra on the 26-28 March. This event is being held as part of our Rotary centenary project - Give Every Child a Future. There are a bunch of activities planned including the opening Ceremony at World Peace Bell, the Peace Dinner at the National Museum, the walk on Saturday and/or Sunday (choose how far you would like to walk) and the Closing Ceremony at Albert Hall.

 

 

 

INVITATION TO CENTENARY PEACE SYMPOSIUM

You are invited to register for our Rotary Centenary Peace Symposium. Presenters will include Nobel Laureates and expert leaders in Peace initiatives around the world. Note too, the details of the various Workshops for your registration. Dates: 21 April commencing 2.30 pm and 22 April, commencing 9.00 am - 1.00 pm.

ROTARY VIRAC THANKS RM, DIK & RUTH CARLOS MARTINEZ

Ruth Carlos-Martinez shared a letter received from Rotary Club of Virac, Philippines thanking Rotary Melbourne and Donations in Kind for our containers of goods which were distributed to people made homeless in the recent typhoons.

A long trail of communications led Editor to this mystery. Last week's Malvern Group Memorial Lunch at Flinders, David Carruthers read an email from Chris Wang to Bruce Fenwick, Rotary Calgary dated 26 February, 2021.

WE ARE BACK!

What a terrific start to working with Second Bite at Prahran Market today. PP Robert Fisher led his team: Allan Wang and his wife Angela (photographer), new Member Carolyn Ballagh with Second Bite's Jerry. Incidentally, Editor has never seen the van filled to the roof including the front passenger seat, with food donated by generous stall holders who were rapt to see us back.
