Nominations for this year's Vocational Service Award are required by 30 June, 2021. Pic. shows 2020 Awardee, Professor Sharon Lewin AO, inaugural Director of the Doherty Institute; Melbourne Laureate Professor of Medicine at The University of Melbourne; National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Practitioner Fellow; Chief Investigator in the Australian Partnership for Preparedness Research on Infectious Diseases Emergencies (APPRISE). 

 

 

 

MITS UPDATE

Thanks Ted Garland for sending Editor this terrific update from the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School re. their students who have had to quarantine in Howard Springs for a fortnight so they may return to their families in the Northern Territory, for school holidays. 

 

 

 

LAST MORNING TEA SUCCESS

Our President Marion co-chaired and was a highlight of DG Philip Archer's Last Morning Tea. The 2 hour event had everything from fun, raffle online, great music and singing, Project updates and masses of fellowship.

Jo Mavros has shared the heartfelt appreciation from Naomi and George Tippett's family after the recent death of George. Anyone who had the privilege to meet George would have had the highest regard for this wonderful man.
