Upcoming Meetings & Events

The following Club meetings will be either at Level 35, Sofitel and/or online. Our Newest Paul Harris Fellow - Bruce J Davidson

Bruce Davidson, a former Parliamentary Librarian and now involved in the Rotary Melbourne as Group Captain of the Balwyn Group and the Club Archivist. Bruce was presented with a Paul Harris Fellow which is based upon the contribution of individual members and deserving members of the community who practice the Rotary motto - “Service above Self” at last week's meeting on 16 February 2022.

Young Achievers Award 2022 - Call for Nominations

The Rotary Club of Melbourne Young Achievers awards recognise and honour annually up to three outstanding young Victorians with an award and a cheque for $1,500.      

 

 

Empowering Youth Cambodia crowd funding

Like many who find themselves living in the urban slum communities of Phnom Penh, Ming Pheap left her home in the countryside in the hope of finding better opportunities in the city.  Read Ming's story here.

 

 

Rotary Vaccination Volunteering Status

The Health and Ageing Committee reports that the pilot project to support the administration of the community Covid activities has been completed. St John Ambulance sought volunteers to screen visitors to medical facilities and a number of Members were prepared to join the program.

Are you in business or do you know of a business who might be able to take on an intern from the BSL Kick Start program for 4 weeks?

Reminder Save the Date - Rotary District 9800 Conference 2022

A reminder to save the date of Friday 22 to Sunday 24 April 2022 for the District Conference to be held in Albury.

The Environmental Sustainability Committee is calling for nominations for the 2022 Environmental Sustainability Award close this Friday 4 March.
