Rotary Melbourne New Member Mentoring Program

Four years ago, under the inspiration of Past President Mary Barry, our New Member Mentoring Program was initiated. Since then, over 30 new members have been allocated among 15 of the trained mentors.        

 

 

Evening of fellowship & fine wine Thursday 12 May

In lieu of the Presidents dinner this year we are planning a wonderful evening of fellowship and fine wine at CRU in Kew.

MentorMatch facilitates the assimilation of international students into Australian social and business communities by expanding the international students’ social, community, and professional networks through mentoring.

RI Convention: Home hospitality hosting

Past President Peter Dakin is one of 32 Rotary Melbourne members who experienced the May 1993 Rotary International Convention held in Melbourne. Peter shared some of that experience.

MITS (Melbourne Indigenous Transition School) has shared their latest newsletter hereEdward Tudor, Executive Director, mentions that 'our Year 7 and alumni students are travelling home – by jet, charter flight, train, minibus and car – to their homes in the NT and Victoria for a very well-earned break with family on Country.  It’s remarkable to reflect on the fact that this term has been the first full term of school in Victoria since 2019!'
