Club News   

A group of environmentally conscious Rotary Melbourne members and partners gathered for a few hours at Norton's Park in Wantirna on a chilly Sunday morning to volunteer and celebrate National Tree Day.

On behalf of the 0808 Committee, all Rotarians are invited: 0808@0800 – Commemorating The 104th Anniversary of the Australian Victory at the Battle of Amiens, 8 Aug 1918 by the Australian Army Corps led by Sir John Monash, Lieutenant-General, Commander. Australian Corps. 

The Spirit of Australia Foundation, in conjunction with Rotary Melbourne, have organised several events to commemorate the Battle of Amiens and Sir John Monash's leadership. Members are invited to attend any one of the events commemorating and recognising Sir John Monash our 2nd President. Click here to view the events.

Nominations for this year's Vocational Service Award are required by 30 August 2022. This picture shows the 2022 Awardee, Professor John McNeil AO is a pre-eminent Australian public health researcher. He was Head of Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) and Head of the Department of Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine at the Alfred Medical Research Precinct from 1986 to 2019.

Rotary Balwyn will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary on Monday 5 Sept at The Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club. It would be great if some Rotary Melbourne members could attend this 50th anniversary celebration. Click HERE to book.

In 2022, we’re thrilled to launch the second edition of Tree Talk, a series of case studies highlighting the important environmental projects being undertaken by dedicated members of the Tree Day community with funding from The Seedling Bank. You can read the report HERE.
