Last week’s meeting guest speaker was Professor Andrew Pask, Head, Thylacine Integrated Genomic Restoration Research (TIGRR) Lab, University of Melbourne. He gave a very interesting presentation on bringing the extinct Tasmania Tiger back to life.

Regionalisation Pilot

At last week’s meeting PDG Peter Frueh updated and informed members on the on the Zone 8 Regionalisation Project and the upcoming vote.  Fact sheets at https://creatingtomorrowrotary.org.

In mid September this year, all Rotary Club Members in our Zone will be invited to vote on the RI Regionalisation Pilot. 

 

 

HUSH Gathering Of Kindness 2022

HUSH will be hosting a gathering with a difference for healthcare workers, patients, carers and supporters. We hope that Rotary Melbourne members can join us!     

 

 

MITS August 22 Newsletter

MITS (Melbourne Indigenous Transition School) has shared their latest newsletter hereEdward Tudor, Executive Director, shares the exciting progress MITS are making on their 371 Church St boarding house and Year 8 program expansion.  They also highlight the incredible work of our Wellbeing Program and the many people who support their students.  Finally, they take a look at what some of their alumni have been up to in their 'work experience' week.

Now that Spring has well and truly sprung members might like to visit Rotary Melbourne member Sandra Hills garden in the Yarra Valley as part of Vic Open Garden Scheme in October.
