Last Week's Meeting

Last week’s meeting guest speakers were Tim and Samantha Lane, Sports Journalists, Writers, AFL Broadcasters. They gave a very informative and entertaning presentation on 'Footy, Finals and Family'.

Club News   

The 17th ITFR World Championship will take place in Melbourne, Australia 22-26 May 2023.     

Rotary Melbourne has long been a supporter of the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) and several members of WOY have been personal supporters. Come along and support this event on Thursday 20 October 2022.   

Many day-to-day experiences are thought to create a sense of belonging: practising religion, joining a sporting club, or simply having positive interactions with people in the neighbourhood. Being a citizen can also help people feel like they belong to a national community.      

Rotary Melbourne members maybe inerested in listening to Emeritus Professor Andrew Markus AO with hosts, Anthea Hancocks and Lydia Tesema for the second episode of the Voices of Australia Podcast. Professor Markus takes you through an overview of what 15 years of measuring social cohesion has taught us about Australia.

Rotary co-founded Interplast in 1983, and what we have achieved together since then is remarkable! Interplast is celebrating Our Shared Impact at a special event on Friday 21 October with a dinner.   

Planning is underway for the Around The Bay in a Day Bicycle 2022 event and the Rotary Melbourne fund raising activities for The Smith Family’s - Learning for Life Programme. Please volunteer NOW.

The annual Paul Harris Breakfast is fast approaching and this year we are joined by guest speaker Jeroen Weimar who will be speaking on the career transitions he has navigated and the influencing factors behind his changing path.
