Last week’s meeting guest speaker was Australian cricketer Brad Hodge. Brad gave a light-hearted and insightful talk on T20 cricket and of his personal experiences touring with the Australian Cricket Team. You can view the meeting HERE.

Walk With Us to end Polio 2022 - Update

Update on PP Robert Fisher: He has walked 236km towards his target of 350km (100km more than last year).  Thanks to the great support of members he has inreased his fund raising goal to $5,000. He is now top of the leaderboard so lets continue to support him so that he stays there. Well done Robert.

When after months of “sleeping rough”, a homeless person finally gets housed, they usually walk into their barely furnished flat or unit with no essential homeware for kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom.

Last Thursday (20 October), sixteen Rotarians and guests enjoyed the “Annual Balwyn and Hawthorn-Kew Snooker Challenge” at the 183-year-old Athenaeum Club.

Planting for wildlife in the world's oldest rainforest

At 180 million years old, the Daintree is the most ancient surviving rainforest on the planet. It's situated on Kuku Yalanji Country, where the songs and stories of Traditional Owners have echoed through the trees for thousands of years. Connie and Dave Pinson, the husband-and-wife team behind Daintree Life, are two locals making their voices heard.
