Tony's Trek for Mental Health – and he’s off!

Tony Pearce, Victoria's Inspector-General for Emergency Management & Chair Emergency Services Foundation.
Tony Pearce, Chair of the Emergency Services Foundation and Victoria’s Inspector General for Emergency Management, is embarking early 2023 on a solo trek over 50 days and 1440kms in the areas worst affected by the 2019/20 black summer fires.

UK Study on Carbon Storage in Trees

Good news - a study on UK trees shows that trees could store almost twice as much carbon as previously thought. Different trees will have different levels of sequestration though and likely cannot directly apply results of this study to Australia because of many different species of trees - still very promising news and other future studies hopefully provide similar results.  Read more here: https://phys.org/news/2022-12-uk-woodlands-carbon-previously.html
