The Monash Medal is awarded for - Leadership, Integrity and Service - Values of Sir John Monash and of Rotary - to an outstanding Australian who has made a significant contribution to the Australian community and beyond. Nominations are now open.

SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative

This SAFE Families initiative is focused on providing prevention of abuse information via printed translated Guides and films, initially, to our African Australian communities.     

 

 

Peter Doherty Institute seeking healthy adults 65 years and older

The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity is conducting a study of an experimental influenza (flu) vaccine using new mRNA technology and is seeking healthy adults 65 years and older.   

 

 

The Rotary Footy Tipping - Last chance to register

Footy Tipping is an important fund raising initiative of the club. Join the Rotary Melbourne Footing Tipping Competition for 2023. AFL footy commences on Thursday 16 March. Dont forget to get your tips in if you have registered.

Past President Peter Rogers has provided the first update on the PNG Community Piggery Enterprise.

Environmental News

Victoria's single-use plastic ban begins

Victoria’s single-use plastic ban came into effect on 1 February 2023. The ban was originally announced in early 2021, with the implementation date set from 2023 to provide time for government to engage businesses on finding alternatives.
