At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on Wednesday 2 August the Guest Speaker was Professor Elaine Saunders, esteemed Biomedical Engineer, Audiological Scientist, business-woman, author and Former Club Member, and she spoke on the topic of 'Hearing loss: more of a problem than we thought'.

Vale Tony Kosky
It is with great sadness that Rotary Melbourne advises the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Tony Kosky. Tony passed away on Friday 4 August. Tony's cremation will be held next Thursday 10th August 11.00 am at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, Boyd Chapel, Princes Highway, Springvale 3171. Officiant: Cantor Michel Laloum. A reception will be held immediately afterwards the Springvale Cafe next door.
Welcome New Member - Robert Anthony
Melbourne Rotary welcomed and inducted Robert Anthony into the Club on 26 July 2023, with the classification Financial Services - Adviser. In 2018, Robert established his own Financial Planning Practice, and which continues to grow nationally with the mission of making financial advice accessible to everyone.
Welcome New Member - Manoel Felipe Marques
Melbourne Rotary welcomed and inducted Manoel Felipe Marques into the Club on 2 August 2023, with the classification Marketing & Communications. He began his involvement with the Rotary Club of Cruzeiro in 2018, dedicating himself to promoting the polio eradication campaign in the city through event organisation and dissemination of information.

National Homelessness Week 2023 (7-13 August)
The theme of this year’s Homeless Week is: It’s time to end homelessness”.
For the entire week, Launch Housing will light up the pillars of Melbourne Town Hall with a display showing the progress that has been made by Melbourne's local councils in their efforts to end Homelessness.
LiverWELL Hepatitis Rap video
The End Hepatitis Now team at Rotary Melbourne have just received a video from our partner LiverWELL. The team believes that this Rap communication will be an important item of collateral for the campaign to bring the hepatitis message to young people at Interact clubs.
