Launch of 5000 Acts of Kindness

To celebrate our historic 5000th Club Meeting on 30th August 2023, Rotary Melbourne has launched its 5000 Acts of Kindness project.       

 

 

EUMERALLA—a War Requiem for Peace: 14 October 23

The Rotary Melbourne Arts Committee is organising a visit to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Deborah Cheetham Fraillon’s cantata Eumeralla on Saturday 14 October.       

 

 

How many Club Groups can you be a member of?

This question came up at a recent meeting of the Group Captains. Information was sought and, wait for it, the answer is “you can be a member of more than one group".

The latest update on Rotary Give Every Child a Future is available by click here to view the August RGECAF Newsletter on this Rotary Melbourne R100 project. STOP PRESS - We did it! In the last few days, Rotary Give Every Child A Future, received that magic contribution that took us to USD 3.9 million, our project target. Our fundraising task is complete!

Invictus Quartet invite you to a concert Sat 16 Sept 23

The Invictus Quartet have a 1 hour concert of classical and contemporary (ie. pop) music that's been layered over each other in a 'mash-up' format on Saturday 16 September at the Brunswick Ballroom.

Rotary Melbourne celebrated its 5000th club meeting on Wednesday 30th August 2023 by holding the 53rd annual Angus Mitchell Oration with special guest speaker, former Prime Minister, the Hon John Howard, with approximately 300 in attendance in the Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel on Collins, Melbourne.

Australian researchers prove possibility of recyclable phone batteries

The discovery could help extend the lifetime of mobile phone batteries by up to three times, extending their life and reducing electronic waste.
