At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on Wednesday 13 September the Guest Speaker was Dr Helen Durham AO, CEO RedR Australia who spoke on ‘Humanitarian Action in a Challenging World: from Ukraine to Samoa’.

Rotary Melbourne is looking for a volunteer to organise the 2024 On To Conference. All you have to do is organise a fun and engaging couple of days prior to the District Conference.    

Join with Rotary Melbourne’s team to complete SecondBite's No Food Waste Challenge this September. It is a 21-day challenge where our participants will aim to reduce their food waste. Rotary Melbourne has a long history with SecondBite, including years of volunteering at Melbourne’s Markets to collect food from stallholders that would otherwise go to waste. Read more to sign up and help us reach our target. Every $1 you raise will help SecondBite distribute up to five meals for people in need.

The 17th ITFR World Championships were held at Melbourne Park over 4 days immediately prior to the Rotary International Convention in May 2023.
Rotary Melbourne were the organisers for the event, with Brenton Whittenbury from RC Adelaide as tournament director.        

BOOKINGS NOW OPEN: Rotary Melbourne is organising a lecture and visit to the NGV 2023 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces - Pierre Bonnard by India Mahdavi on Friday 6 October 2023. Pierre Bonnard is one of the most beloved painters of the twentieth century, celebrated for his use of colour to convey an exquisite sense of emotion.     

The Rotary Melbourne Arts Committee is organising a visit to the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Deborah Cheetham Fraillon’s cantata Eumeralla on Saturday 14 October.       

Rotary Melbourne Sir John Reid Community Service Award 2023 is now open for applications which close this Wednesday 23rd October 2023.     

Professor Max Ortiz Catalán joined the Bionics Institute in June this year to lead research into ground-breaking bionic limb technologies as Head of Neural Prosthetics Research.     

ShelterBox is sending an assessment team to Morocco to understand if we can support people who have lost their homes in the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on Friday 8th September 23.
