Rotary Melbourne is delighted to announce that Dr Doug Hilton AO has accepted the Club’s invitation to be the eighth Orator to commemorate the life and works of our Past President Thomas Baker and will speak on the topic 'If science is to save us'.
Rotary turns 119
Last Friday 23 February 24, was the 119th birthday of Rotary. District have suggested that a great way to celebrate would be to donate to Rotary’s number one humanitarian priority, the eradication of polio.
A world first for Crohn’s Disease
In a world first, our electrical stimulation device to treat Crohn’s disease has been implanted in a patient at the Austin Hospital, with the aim of preventing inflammation of the gut recurring after surgery.

MITS (Melbourne Indigenous Transition School) has shared their latest newsletter here. Edward Tudor, Executive Director noted '2024 has started with our new Year 7 students commencing their educational and boarding journey at MITS. The students have formed some great initial connections and have brought with them amazing enthusiasm and energy. With almost 90 students living with MITS across our four boarding houses, they join a thriving student community here on Wurundjeri Country.'
