At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on Wednesday 28 February 24 the Guest Speaker was Abiola Akinbiyi, Founder Changepreneurs,  who spoke on 'Empowering Young CALD Women: Mentoring, Education, Networking and Outreach'.

Can you believe that the first match is THURSDAY MARCH 7^th! You have only a couple of days to register for the Rotary Melbourne footy tipping competition which supporting our charitable endeavours.        

Members and their partners are invited to participate in an amazing Fellowship Excursion in April 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know other members, discuss current and potential Rotary Melbourne projects and forge lifelong friendships, all while having a fun time. Registrations close this Wednesday 6 March 24.        

The article shows the strong link between domestic/family violence and homelessness, with this violence being the main reason women and children leave the home, many being homeless for a period of time. There are some really interesting statistics in the article. Click HERE to view.

Rotary Melbourne is delighted to announce that Dr Doug Hilton AO has accepted the Club’s invitation to be the eighth Orator to commemorate the life and works of our Past President Thomas Baker and will speak on the topic 'If science is to save us'.             

To be held on Wednesday 24 July 2024, @ 12:30pm at the RACV Club Level 17, 501 Bourke Street Melbourne. Confirmed speaker:  Christine Holgate CEO Team Global Express on the Topic: 'The challenges of sustainability while ensuring reliable, cost-effective logistics'.

The Rotary Club of Melbourne Young Achievers awards recognise and honour annually up to three outstanding young Victorians with an award and a cheque for $1,500.

This month the Environmental Sustainability Rotarian Action Group (ESRAG) newsletter ESRAG March 2024 Volume 8 Issue 9 features an article titled 'How Rotarians advance sustainability'. 

University of South Australia researchers have revealed the potential of enzymes derived from prickly paddy melon weed to create a more sustainable form of cement and prevent soil erosion.
