Jo becomes a Grandmother to twin girls

Congratulations on Jo Mavros becoming a grandmother to two beautiful cherub granddaughters Eleni and Nina (pink hat), both born around 2kg at noon Friday 5th April 24.

 

 

Vale Bev Brock OAM

It is with great sadness that Rotary Melbourne advises the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Bev Brock. Bev passed away on Sunday 7 April 2024 at her home in Melbourne, surrounded by her family. A Memorial service will be held this Thursday 18 April 24.        

 

 

Loss of two tireless and fearless advocates for young people

Rotary Melbourne were saddened this month with the deaths of two tireless and fearless advocates for young people, Joe Tucci of the Australian Childhood Foundation and Les Twentyman, founder of the Les Twentyman Foundation.

Thomas Baker Oration on 24 April 2024 BOOK NOW

Rotary Melbourne is delighted to announce that Dr Doug Hilton AO has accepted the Club’s invitation to be the eighth Orator to commemorate the life and works of our Past President Thomas Baker and will speak on the topic 'If science is to save us'. This is also a Partners Day so dont miss out and BOOK NOW.

A delegation of Rotary Melbourne members and guests were warmly welcomed to WEHI on Thursday 4 April 24.      

 

 

Rosie Batty AO's Address to the National Press Club

Rotoract club of Siem Reap The International Programs Committee of Rotary Melbourne have been supporting Rotaractor Tangly Ton Siem Reip through the Cambodian Rural Students Trust. This is a lovely opportunity to know more about the good work Tangly is doing and see our investment in action.The Rotary eClub 9790 meeting on 4th April 24 provided Tangly Ton to present on their current projects. Four-Way-Test re-imagined at International Assembly

Rotary Melbourne member and Past District Governor, Amanda Wendt was invited by Rotary International President-elect Stephanie Urchick to present at the International Assembly in Orlando, Florida earlier in January. What is the true value of the Four-Way Test? A grievance against members we disagree with? Or, the principles for visionary leadership.
