Member News
On 11/11/2024, Prof. Bruce Livett was inducted by Western Australian District Governor Pat Schraven as an Honorary Member of Rotary E-Club of Western Australia (E-WA) with effect from 26 June 2024 in recognition of his service with Rotary Club of Kununurra.
As advised in last week’s bulleting Rotary Member Max Barr sadly passed away on Thursday 7 November. His funeral is on Tuesday 19 November at 2pm at Le Pine 741 High Street Kew East. Friends and Members are welcome to attend. It will also be lived streamed. Click here to view live stream.
Current member Les Schulz sadly passed away on Sunday 3 November 24 at the age of 99. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at WD Rose Brighton, 139 Marriage Road, Brighton on Tuesday 19 November at 10.00 am. A private cremation will follow. In 2024, we celebrate 60 years of our club's Vocational Service Award. Notable Victorians have been recognised across decades for their commitment to their vocation and serving the community, including captains of industry, musicians, health professionals, academics, scientists, chefs and more.
The new annual Rotary Melbourne Music Scholarship supports talented emerging Victorian musicians under 30 years of age. who need assistance to further their careers or studies in music. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of musical leaders, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive.
