On Tuesday 10 December 24, Richard Parker, Jan Moffatt, Trevor Nink and Sue Smith picked up car loads of toys from Launch Housing HQ in Collingwood. The donated toys were delivered to their facilities in Dandenong, South Melburne, East St Kilda and St Kilda, bring cheer and happy faces to those less fortunate.

In Maryland USA, the Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County holds its annual Lights of Kindness event, raising over $200,000 in 9 years. Businesses are paired with local charities to decorate Christmas trees. The trees are displayed at a garden centre during the first weekend of December, and visitors can vote for their favorite tree by donating any amount of money. Each dollar donated is divided equally between the club’s foundation and the charity responsible for the tree, and the three charities that collect the most money earn an additional cash prize.
