Club News

The new annual Rotary Melbourne Music Scholarship supports talented emerging Victorian musicians who need assistance to further their careers or studies in music. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of musical leaders, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive. Applications opened 1st February.

Past President Robert Fisher moderated the global Rotary SAFE Families Mega Meeting on Friday 7 March 24.     

For around 6 years Rotary Melbourne has been in collaboration with Hepatitis Victoria, now LiverWELL, to utilise the community influence of Rotarians to create greater awareness of viral hepatitis, both Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.      

Our immersive augmented exhibition of the Notre Dame de Paris at the Immigration Museum has been moved to Saturday 26th of April 2025 at 2pm. With refreshments and a French-inspired Cathedral choir, mark your diaries and book now for this special event.

In March, Rotary International celebrates Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Month. Rotary Melbourne believes access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene is vital for healthier communities. Our WASH initiatives go beyond infrastructure, partnering with local leaders and educators to ensure lasting impact. From rural villages to disaster-hit areas, we create sustainable solutions that improve lives for generations.

This month the Environmental Sustainability Rotarian Action Group (ESRAG) newsletter ESRAG March 2025 Volume 9 Issue 9 features an article titled 'Sustainable Living Starts Here: How You Can Make an Impact'. Click on read more below.

Rotary’s commitment to peace was highlighted at the “Healing in a Divided World” conference, held 20-22 February in Istanbul. Convened by Rotary International President Stephanie A. Urchick, the event featured diverse participants discussing the long-term commitment required for peace. Attendees included the first 13 Rotary Peace Fellows from the Otto and Fran Walter Rotary Peace Center at Bahçeşehir University.
