Rotary supports the Royal Children’s Hospital Family Hub

Parents and carers often spend extended periods at RCH and need somewhere to relax, make a cup of tea, feed the baby, catch up on emails, seek information, find activities for the other kids, or just read a book. The Hub https://www.rch.org.au/frc/ is a home away from home for families and visitors to the hospital.  Amanda Battaini has volunteered at the Hub since its inception 23 years ago.

MITS 10 Year Milestone Achievement

In 2026, Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) is celebrating 10 years of Confident Learners, Proud Communities and Strong Futures.  Since 2016, nearly 270 young people have come to MITS from the Top End of the NT and from Regional Victoria, each pursuing their unique aspirations and passions through a Melbourne opportunity.

On Sunday 8 March 26 we loaded founder Simone Carson’s Tesla to the gunnels at Prahran Market! Her she is with volunteer Victoria, a student from Melbourne Girls College. Progress report: Together for Healthy Families in Nigeria

The success of a program to reduce maternal deaths in Nigeria is measured in more than statistics.
The statistics may appear faceless on paper: 512 deaths for every 100,000 pregnant women in Nigeria, one of the highest maternal mortality rates globally. But they’re not faceless to me. I see the mothers. I see the babies. I have stood in the rooms where those numbers become either tragedies or triumphs. Click to read more.
