Robert Anthony (Robert) was inducted on 26th July 2023 with the classification Financial Services - Adviser.
Robert was born in Melbourne and educated at Catholic Regional College and Victoria University, completing a Bachelor of Business in Applied Economics degree in 1993 and completed Post Graduate Studies in Finance & Investments at the Securities Institute of Australia throughout 1994.
Directly from university & post graduate studies, Robert joined National Mutual as an Analyst and then accepted a role with Norwich Union in 1997 as Client Service Manager.
He was then accepted as Partner with the Heritage Group Australia, a boutique private equity firm overseeing Governance, Compliance and was member of the Investment Committee.
In 2006, Robert accepted a role at ANZ Global Markets preparing monthly risk committee reports, Managing Sales Assurance programs and Product and Market Governance and was a member project team in managing the roll out of the banks Customer Suitability Framework.
In 2018, Robert established his own Financial Planning Practice, and which continues to grow nationally with the mission of making financial advice accessible to everyone.
Robert has been married for 19 years to wife Jess, a registered Nurse at the Monash Medical Centre and reside in Camberwell. They have two children Sienna and William. Robert and his family enjoy spending quality time on day trips and with his children who are aspiring golf and tennis players at their respective clubs along on the Melbourne sandbelt and at Kooyong.
Robert was inspired to Join Rotary from a strong family connection with my Uncle Salvatore Tartaglia, a family Lawyer based in Ascot Vale who has served as a member and president (1993-94) of the Essendon Rotary for over 35 years.
He is a member of the Athenaeum Club and has strong connection to the Emergency Services Foundation through his volunteer photography work.
