Our Rotary Melbourne signature annual events include our Angus Mitchell Oration, Thomas Baker Oration, and Environment & Sustainability Luncheon.
Our annual Angus Mitchell Oration, named after our club's first Australian President of Rotary International, was first delivered at our 50th anniversary in 1971. Since then it has featured prominent orators, including Governors-General, Prime Ministers, Governors, Scientists, Ambassadors, leading business people and community leaders.
The Thomas Baker Oration commemorates Past Rotary Melbourne President Thomas Baker and Philanthropist by showcasing Australians who have demonstrated leadership and innovation in the fields of medicine/science/technology and industry. Past Orators have included Australia's Chief Scientists, Nobel Prize Laureates, and other leaders and innovators.
Our annual Environment & Sustainability Lunch celebrates Rotary's key area of focus with speakers and panellists who are leaders in their field, including scientists, academics, government and business leaders.
Rotary Melbourne always has new and relevant events, including lunch and evening meetings, volunteering activities and social events. We host experts, thought leaders and innovators, always aiming to do good in the world.
