Laura Cavallo is Chief Executive of Destination Melbourne\, an independent tourism organisation for the Greater Melbourne region. The organisation&rsquo\;s vision is to maximise Melbourne&rsquo\;s visitor potential by championing visitors&rsquo\; needs\, the visitor experience and the visitor industry.

Laura&rsquo\;s career spans over 20 years&rsquo\; in strategic planning\, destination marketing\, cultural promotion\, business events\, brand and corporate communications and crisis management across the visitor economy sector.
&nbsp\;
Destination Melbourne works in collaboration with Melbourne&rsquo\;s visitor industry\, key stakeholders and industry partners to encourage businesses to provide the best possible visitor experiences and a seamless visitor journey from arrival to departure.
&nbsp\;
Currently Laura is leading a strategic city-wide project\, the development of the Greater Melbourne Destination Management Visitor Plan\, which aims to improve and increase the city&rsquo\;s visitor economy capacity\, product opportunities and initiatives for the next 10 years.
&nbsp\;
Laura is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors\, has a postgraduate degree in Marketing (RMIT) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (University of Melbourne). Laura is also a business member of the Inner Melbourne Metropolitan Partnership\, which advises the Victorian Government on strategic business and community issues and needs.&nbsp\;
