One of the three major projects running up to the our Centenary Year is ‘Give Every Child a Future’ – working with UNICEF and other Rotary Clubs in Australia and NZ to immunise 100,000 children in nine Pacific nations against three life threatening diseases. We are this week launching our Special Fundraising Raffle.
If you missed this week's fantastic cover on Channel Nine News of Melbourne's successful bid for Convention 2023, it has been uploaded to our website with the link:
"The District Conference was full of inspiration and inspiration on a grand scale which appeared to resonate very well with the 1500 or so Rotarians and guests. The effort put in by our Club in creating and delivering our multiple booths paid dividends given the level of discussion that R100, End Trachoma and RI Convention volunteering generated." Thanks PE Kevin.

Thanks again to VP Trevor on his summary of Rob McGuirk's presentation at Multi District Peace Forum: "Rob gave a very stimulating comparison of the functioning of Hostelling International and Rotary. Hostels open up dialogue between guests of diverse age, race, gender and religion which facilitates goodwill that is also an important area of focus for Rotary.:
There is a well known saying: "What happens O T C ..... Remains O T C!" However, I have received some photos that possibly convey some happenings pictorially! Photo shows President Robert steadying himself from falling into the huge vat of alcohol ..... You can make up your own mind what he is holding?
VP Trevor Nink has provided Bulletin with some thoughts on the Multi District Peace Forum: "A Professor Tillman Ruff gave a very powerful presentation on the risks of nuclear war and the need for disarmament last Friday at the Multi District Peace Forum. He received a standing ovation from the audience. It looks like the Angus Mitchell Oration will be a great event on Wednesday!"
This week we congratulate Peter Rogers and Tony Greenwood on being named Paul Harris Fellows on 6 February. Peter with 5 Sapphire and Tony with 3 Sapphire Paul Harris Awards. Rotary Melbourne appreciates both for their continual time, commitment and outstanding efforts.
