Learning for Life Olympian

Congratulations to Learning for Life student Emmanouela! The Smith Family is thrilled to share that Emmanouela is heading to the Paris Olympics as the youngest member of the Australian Gymnastics Olympic team! 🌟

Over more than a decade, Rotary Melbourne has supported The Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program, raising over $200,000 through volunteering, raffles and bike riding to help disadvantaged students complete their studies. We are thrilled to see Emmanouela become the program’s first Olympic Athlete as she prepares to represent Australia in Paris. 🤸‍♀️

Emmanouela has been doing gymnastics since she was four years old, and started on The Smith Family’s Learning for Life scholarship program in Year 5. Her family has shared that without this support, they would have struggled to support Emmanouela’s gymnastics ambitions and her education.

Your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring, Emmanouela. We're all cheering for you and can't wait to see you shine on the world stage. 🤸‍♀️ Go well, Emmanouela. We’re sure you’ll make us all proud.
