Rotary Denver Cherry Creek

Jim Barry presents a banner from his recent visit to Rotary Denver Cherry Creek whilst on a visit to his son and family in the US.

Jim Barry also took out the raffle this week.  The raffle is managed by the Community Welfare Committee and supports their activities. Should you want to join the roster let Jo know.

 

 

Open Garden - Villa Raedward

Now that Spring has well and truly sprung members might like to visit Rotary Melbourne member Sandra Hills garden in the Yarra Valley as part of Vic Open Garden Scheme in October.  

 

 

Bulletin Editor returns from Kimberley experience

Your editor, Sue and Past President Reg have returned home safely after an amazing visit to the Kimberley's and Broome.  

 

 

Vale George Koczkar

A sad note from Faleiry Koczkar (George's wife): ‘.. it’s now my sad duty to inform you that George passed away in Darnlee Aged Care Residence early last Sunday morning - 28th August.  George loved the Rotary Meetings and the friends he made there and was so disappointed not to be able to attend meetings when he entered Darnlee.”

Arts Committee Visit to the Writers Festival - REMINDER

Date & Time: Friday September 9, 2022 6.30-7.30pm

The Arts Committee invites Club members and guests to attend an event at the 2022 Melbourne Writers Festival – it’s a free event discussion with the winners of ‘The Age’ 2022 Book of the Year awards which will be announced on the festival opening night. Planning is underway for the Around The Bay in a Day Bicycle 2022 event and the Rotary Melbourne fund raising activities for The Smith Family’s - Learning for Life Programme. Please vonunteer NOW.
