This historic Changeover event was sensational. Online thanks, congratulations, smiles, music, things we didn't know about our Directors, bow-tie made from R100 socks, and the induction of our Centenary President Marion Macleod plus a visit from RI President (maybe?).

Reg has been a "stage manager" extraordinaire, behind the scenes with all the bells and whistles at his fingertips, producing our online meetings. Along with Jo Mavros, Reg has been instrumental in our radical emergency change to online everything Rotary Melbourne. Thanks Reg.
God love PP Phil Endersbee who sent me his photo and caption of PP Kevin Sheehan prior to our terrific online Changeover: "These things are made in heaven !! A one-off bow tie made from a pair of socks for tonight’s function. The wheels of Rotary and manufacturing in Australia keep rolling on!!" Yes, with companies like Wilderness Wear, Australia will continue Onwards & Upwards!
In these days of virtual reality, thank you to Phil Endersbee for "dechaining" our President Kevin Sheehan from his year of office. Kevin, you will go down in the history of Rotary Melbourne, as the incredible President who lead our Members and Club through one of the most challenging times in our world. Over the page you can decide on what they are doing!
At last week's meeting, President Kevin named Meredith Bucknall, a Paul Harris Fellow. Meredith is seen here at Government House last year with husband Hugh, President Kevin and Lisa and PE Marion Macleod.
Congratulations to Mikaela Stafrace, who was awarded the Royce Abbey Award for 2020. Mikaela is the new Director of Events and Fundraising for 2020-21.
Outstanding Vice President's meeting was held online (first time ever). Both Cynthia Edgell and David Carruthers were fantastic examples of how to manage the role of a Rotary Vice President in the year of COVID-19's twists and turns. Check out the YouTube video on our website if you missed it or need a reminder.
Thirty years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of WW1. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of The Lost Gardens of Heligan at Cornwall, UK. Maybe you have visited? This is their recommendation for social distancing.
