The Rotary Give Every Child A Future Centenary Project is a joint project between the Rotary Clubs of Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Wellington - the first four Rotary Clubs chartered in Australasia in 1921.
In conjunction with UNICEF, the project's goal is to immunise 100,000 children and adolescent girls in 9 Pacific Island Countries. The countries are Cook Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Hugh Bucknall has been visiting friends and making new friends in the South East Coast of NSW. This is a reflection of a small part of what he has experienced in his travels.
Beautiful Sunday with some of our Malvern Group enjoying a BBQ, friendship at Sharann and Mike Johnson's superb home on the edge of Flinders Golf Course with a view over Bass Strait. This lunch in February is Malvern Group's Memorial Lunch which is traditionally February each year. Terrific to hear the stories of past Group Captains who have made Malvern Group such a warm, friendship Group.

Rotary Sydney is working with Rotary Melbourne in the Give Every Child a Future Initiative and to create a fantastic memory making Rotary 100 Year Centenary. As regular readers of our Bulletin, you would have noticed Editor requesting more photos in situ of R100 socks. After missing the ideal photos from our official delegates to Sydney's Government House, the excuses ranged from: "Alas, we realised on departing Gov House that the opportunity was lost BUT to have taken off our shoe in such regal surrounding would have ……!" to "My greatest fear is the wrath and scorn of Dorothy! I shall just have to have another red wine to console my self!"

Rotary Sydney launched their Centenary Countdown in fine style at Government House last Wednesday. The hospitality of the Governor, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC and Mr Dennis Wilson was truly superb. On hand representing Rotary Melbourne were Kevin & Lisa Sheehan, Hugh and Meredith Bucknall, Marion McLeod and Robert Fisher.
The Sheehan’s and & Fisher’s are photographed with our Honourary Members and Consul-General Kazuyoshi Matsunaga and his wife Yoko at a reception in honour of the 60th Birthday of the New Emperor of Japan, His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.
HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! The 2020 AFL Footy Tipping Competition is about to get underway. Bruce Davidson wrote: "Thank you for your support in previous years. Together with our supporter friends outside the Club we hope to raise $3000 for the community and charitable activities of our Club."
