Our Global Scholar Katie Wilford will be missed by her many friends in Rotary Australia. Katie gave her "Valedictory Address" at last week's meeting. Katie has been inspirational in the way she tackled her year "Down Under". She is seen here with President Kevin with a pretty hefty "drop" of bourbon which he is supposed to share with us!
Another great attendance was noted at last week's lunch meeting with our new DG Grant Hocking presenting the District 9800 focus for his year of Presidency. Our Global Scholar extraordinaire, Katie has tramped Australia (often alone) and made every minute count in her year here. She has been a terrific ambassador for Global Scholars and is about to depart for home. Katie got to Uluru to complete her travels. She was spellbound and "lost for words for once in my life"! Thank you Katie, I will miss you!

It was a breath of fresh air hearing Dr Cath Crock, Hush Foundation convey how "Gatherings of Kindness" have altered and improved the Royal Children's Hospital for children and medical staff by promoting kindness at all levels.
President Kevin has conveyed that Global Scholar Katie Wilford’s Valedictory Address will be delivered on Wednesday when our District Governor addresses our lunch meeting.
The response to the raffle last week was good. However, we need to remember to return the stubs and money and to alert those Members absent last week to pick up ticket books from their table in the weeks that lead up to the 14 August launch and drawing of the raffle prize." All proceeds go to the Smith Family.
