The inaugural Ambulance Victoria Leaders Mentoring Program was officially completed last week at a thank you dinner in Melbourne. Bulletin Editor was thanked for her "commitment and contribution" by DG Bronwyn Stephens and Tony Walker Chief Executive Officer, Ambulance Victoria.
Our Past Honorary Secretary Keith W Callinan was recognised with a PHF Double Sapphire at last week’s meeting. He is seen here with his wife Trudi and President Robert. Congratulations Keith, this award is so well deserved!
Catherine Baxter was inducted and welcomed to Rotary Melbourne on 10th April 2010 with the classification Public Transport – Human Resources.
Holger Knaack, of the Rotary Club of Herzogtum Lauenburg-Mölln, Germany, has been selected to serve as president of Rotary International in 2020-21. The Nominating Committee's decision follows the resignation last month of President-nominee Sushil Gupta. Knaack will officially become president-nominee if no other candidates challenge him by 31 May.
This year’s ChangeOver will be a very special dinner event in the Sofitel’s LaTrobe Room for members, partners and their guests. Diarise: Wednesday 26th June in lieu of our regular lunch time meeting.

Our Evening Meeting co-hosted with Leadership Victoria was an outstanding event. Christine Kotur, introduced by Richard Dent (picture) is inaugural Leader In Residence at Leadership Victoria spoke about 'Leading the Community in the 21st Century'. President Robert's Report Part 2: "Last week I covered some of the key elements of the recent survey. This week I’d like to move onto some of the specific comments that were made in relation to particular projects that people were interested in being developed by Rotary Melbourne.
Item of news from the Mornington Peninsula Group's lovely lunch meeting: "Margaret Ross provided some very interesting figures on the amount of money that is raised from the sale of stamps. To date the total raised is $120,357.00.

There were some sombre moments in Major General Jim Barry's presentation but as the photo shows, there were some light hearted moments too, especially with question time.
Thanks to Trevor Neroy, Reg Smith, Maryla Juchnowski, Allan Wang, President Robert, we stood in the cold and rain at the Camberwell Market for a second round of Raffle Ticket selling. Each of us with our own "unique" style of selling, including Allan who translated the prizes into Mandarin! Onwards and Upwards!
