At a waste depot in Shoalhaven, 200 kilometres south of Sydney, old mattresses, fabric and dirty glass left over from household recycling are being transformed into something completely different: Green Ceramics, a versatile commercial product.
On Saturday 15 June 24 Mary Barry and PP Robert Fisher attended an afternoon tea in Camberwell for Polio Plus Society members. There were around 50 present to hear PDG Murray Verso provide an encouraging update on the world status of polio. He will be addressing Rotary Melbourne on 23 October along with a polio survivor.
Tangly Ton, President Rotaract Club of Siem Reap, has provided an update on his studies along with details of recent Rotary projects including his excellent results in his last Semester at University.
The Rotary Melbourne Evening Conversation on Tuesday 11 June 24 was a special expert panel discussion shed light on social license, arguably the most important issue impeding progress in the transition to renewable energy. Recently Amanda Wendt, Rotary Melbourne member, had the privilege of representing Rotary International President Gordon McInally at District 3770’s conference in Baguio City, Philippines.
