The Rotary Melbourne meeting on Wednesday 21 June celebrated this year's activities and projects and the Guest Speaker was Catherine Baxter, Vice President Humanitarian Services reporting along with Committee Chairs on both Humanitarian and Club Management & Communications on behalf of Peter Davis.

At the Rotary Melbourne meeting on 21 June 23 we witnessed the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow 4 Sapphire Award to Jim Orchard 'in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world'. Rotary Melbourne Club’s Past President Dr Peter Rogers was one of the first students who attended Monash University’s campus in 1961 when its buildings were surrounded by paddocks. An article appeared recently in the North West City News on Peter.
At the recent 2023 Rotary International Convention in Melbourne, members of the Zone 8 Regionalisation Pilot Steering Group presented a breakout session to attendees interested in finding out more about the pilot.
Melbourne Rotary welcomed and inducted Berat Kaya into the Club on 24 May 2023. Currently Berat is completing his double degree in Bachelor of Criminology and Psychology from RMIT. Berat is looking forward to connecting with more Rotarians and using his skills further to promote Rotary and continuing his ongoing community engagement.
