Rob has asked for some assistance from Members on a small committee to help plan our next approach to recruiting worthy Peace Fellow applicants by the RCM, whilst keeping in touch with our existing Peace Fellows, and planning the Peace Building Forum for 2021. Please contact Rob if you would like to be part of this interesting and thought-provoking team.

Recently, DG Bronwyn Stephens and PP Quin Scalzo handed out jars of Smarties. Not just to enjoy but to fill with coins. Every $100 raised with a Special District DDF and Foundation contribution and a 2:1 match by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will raise $1,000 for End Polio.

DG Bronwyn created an inspirational presentation to Members and Guests last week. Not only did she provide her perspective on Rotary District's goals for her year but invited our Members to describe the Rotary Club of Melbourne's work in fulfilling these goals.
It was a delight to hear from Kevin Sheehan's guest last week. Katie Wilford described her journey from Pocahontas to Melbourne after being awarded a Rotary District & International Global Scholar Grant.

Last week, Ryan Saville was inducted into our Club with the Classification of Marketing - Technology. President Robert Fisher officiated and Ryan was welcomed with much applause.
Libby Murphy with 28 years work with Victoria Police, provided a sobering insight into "Elder Abuse as Family Violence". Elder Abuse is one of the topics to be addressed in our "Rotary Safe Families" initiative which is planned for later this year and Libby and Victoria Police believe that we all need to understand and be able to identify this too common, complex form of violence.
