The dinner was well supported with representatives of our club, taking up two tables, as well as representatives of Engineering Australia, Monash University, the Monash Foundation, Spirit of Australia and the Returned Services League.
The key note speaker was Major General Mike O’Brien CSC who gave a very interesting and thought-provoking address on the Battle. We also heard from Victoria Cox, a recent Monash scholar, who gave a very enjoyable address about her achievements and the benefits of her scholarship.
The Windsor Hotel was an excellent venue for the dinner and the ballroom was a very fitting location and looked magnificent. The food and drink were also of an excellent standard and all attendees enjoyed a splendid evening to commemorate the 100th anniversary.
