There have been many notes of thanks from Members and Visitors which provide the personal impact that Fiona has made on all who were at the marvellous lunch meeting last week. This is just one example of our Club's third Thomas Baker Oration:
"It was a pleasure to be there. I attended the first Thomas Baker Oration and must have been away for the second, because I cannot recall who the speaker was. I asked Jo Mavros to keep me posted when the date of the third was known.
I applaud the manner in which Melbourne Rotary recognises its past champions and I also enjoy attending the Angus Mitchell Oration and the Monash Medal. The speakers are usually of a very high standard and Fiona Wood was no exception.
What a dynamic person. She is absolutely making the most of the opportunities that have been presented to her in life. Her passion, daring to dream approach and 'don’t take no for an answer’ attitude was inspiring. I also appreciated the recognition she gave Rotary at the beginning of her presentation. A wonderful speaker who did justice to the Thomas Baker Oration. Congratulations on a memorable day."
