Pandemic Health Management Protocol

President Reg Smith is pleased to announce that the Rotary Melbourne Pandemic Health Management Protocol has been approved by the Board in an endeavour to provide a trusted environment for the conduct of fellowship events and committee business.

The Board has been mindful of a number of principals in approving this protocol:

  • Our duty of care to members, visitors and volunteers for their safety and well-being;
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and health directives;
  • Respect for the policies of venues in which we gather for Club events and work on projects;
  • Respect for the views and personal decisions of all Rotary Melbourne members;
  • The need for guidance in relation to the club’s policies in areas where the rules are the responsibility of either the Club or individual houses.

In adopting the Pandemic Health Management Protocol, the Board recognised that as we learn to live alongside the Covid-19 virus and its variants, circumstances will evolve, and the protocol may need to change accordingly.  Hence the Health and Ageing Committee will from time to time recommend changes where these are needed.
