As the Club President during the 2nd half of the Centenary Year of Rotary Melbourne it is my privilege and pleasure to have the honour of welcoming you to this first Newsletter of the James W. Davidson Network of Rotary Clubs. I commend the Bombay and Madras Rotary Clubs for their vision and enthusiasm in creating this Global Network, that I am sure will strengthen the international power of Rotary.
Celebrating our centenary as my Club did in 2021, we have reflected proudly on the accomplishments of our club in both creating Clubs in Australia, and playing an important part in humanitarian service programs which are making a continuing impact and making the world a better place. We have also reflected on building the foundations for the next 100 years of Rotary in our part of the world. Our conclusion, the world needs Rotary, now more than ever.
We look forward to playing our part as volunteers in hosting the Rotary International Convention in May 2023, and having the opportunity for members of the James w Davidson Rotary Clubs to meet and celebrate the creation and contribution of this important network.
