Peter Berg advises Rotary Safe Families has begun a collaboration with EDVOS a family violence service in the eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne. EDVOS have recently jointly with Anglicare published a book called 'Hope' which is a guide to assisting children who live in a family violence situation.
Hope was developed to support adults on providing a safe and supportive response when children share their experiences of family violence. The book emphasises that children are never to blame for family violence and that the accountability lies with the person choosing to use violence.
Proceeds from the sale of this book, will go into EDVOS Primary Prevention projects and activities.
