The latest in over 40 presentations of the End Hepatitis Now message to Victorian Rotary Clubs occurred last Wednesday evening at Rotary Hoppers Crossing meeting in Werribee. These sessions are part of the joint campaign by Rotary Melbourne and LiverWELL to educate Rotarians of the availability of testing, preventions and treatments for Hepatitis B and C before they become life threatening.
The 25 local members were very interested in the presentation from Rosemary Jacob, LiverWELL Business Development Manager, and Steve as the “lived experience” speaker – there were many questions and comments received from the audience. Rotarians are respected leaders in our communities and are asked to pass on the health messages and help reduce the stigma often shown to those with these viruses.
With more Clubs seeking meeting speakers lets continue to work to End Hepatitis by 2030!
