Connections in life and in the club….

Michael Selth's relative Rob Selth and my uncle David Rogers were flying in the same Halifax III from 102 Bomber Squadron when they were shot down over the English Channel after bombing a V2 rocket site in 1944. Below is Rob Selth's account of the night. They were brought ashore at Newhaven.  David Rogers was my father's oldest brother. They survived D Day together, but were shot down shortly after.

The stories of all five of the Australian crew are attached HERE. This material was prepared for the 60th commemoration dinner in 2004.

Only Rob Selth survived so he was able to tell the story.

This is one of the great coincidences of my life to discover this connection between Michael Selth and myself!
