Interclub Visit – Batman Cluster Mon 14 November

Last week, President Adrian advertised the District 9800 Batman Cluster Group Meeting and encouraged members to attend on Monday 14 November @ 6pm. We have now received the details of the event which are outlined below. As President Adrian will be in Japan with a small delegation of members, he is hopeful we can gather a small group of members to represent Rotary Melbourne.

We are branding this as our first Interclub visit for the year and will be slightly different with a visit planned to our Batman Cluster hosted by Rotary Southbank ESG Group and includes Rotary Clubs of Central Melbourne, E-Club of Melbourne, Melbourne, Melbourne Passport, North Melbourne and Southbank.

The Cluster Clubs have agreed to come together at the Red Emperor Restaurant at Southbank for the District Governor’s official visit on 14th November.  District Governor Amanda Wendt has suggested that this Cluster Group meeting in part include a volunteer activity component and as such, Assistant Governor Murray Anderson and the Cluster Presidents have agreed to do a FORaMEAL food packing evening.

An action-packed agenda starting at 6.00pm has been arranged that will involve:

One hour of packing meals from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in the arcade outside Red Emperor

A two-course dinner at Red Emperor commencing with a delicious entrée at 7.15pm

DG Amanda will present an update on Rotary at 7.30pm

Mains will be served at 8.00pm followed by questions and fellowship with the meeting closing at 9.00pm.

Ticket price is $45 and includes a two-course dinner and your first drink. (Further drinks are at bar prices)
