The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is delighted to announce Adrian Kloeden as our new President.

Mr Kloeden is a highly experienced non-executive director and chair who has been a Director of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2013, including as Deputy President for two years.

His extensive background in business covers infrastructure, forestry, water, NFP, transport, tourism, defense contracting, outsourced services, consulting, tertiary education, economic think tank and Government related business including as a statutory authority leader.

He graduated in science from the Australian National University and holds a master’s degree in business from the London Business School. He has an Honorary Doctorate from Deakin University and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Kloeden said: “It’s a tremendous honour and privilege to be elected President of the Victorian Chamber. I’m very humbled and grateful for the opportunity to work with Victorian business to advance their interests.

“The Chamber has a long and rich history dating back more than 170 years. In this sense, I join a long list of custodians of the Chamber.

“I’m excited about what lies ahead because I have tremendous faith in our board, executive council, management team and all of our dedicated and hard-working staff.

“Most of all I have faith in Victorian business and our loyal and incredible members who are the engine room of our economy.”

The Victorian Chamber thanks outgoing President Karyn Sobels for her service. Ms Sobels was the first female President in the Chamber’s 171-year history and steered the Chamber through the global pandemic.

The AGM also saw Jeremy Blackshaw was elected Deputy President, while new members were elected to the Victorian Chamber board. We welcome Brendan Britten, Peter Radoll and Kate Mannix who bring deep experience and skills to the Chamber.
